Abstract :
The author describes an integrated management approach in which development and manufacturing activities are carried out in separate environments, but are linked to each other so that developed capabilities can be rapidly replicated for manufacturing purposes. This approach has been successfully applied to wafer fab processes. The author´s experiences and his thoughts regarding wider implications are presented
