Abstract :
OSGi provides a dynamic and versatile platform for embedded software evolution. Using this platform, products can be easily upgraded, flexibly reconfigured and managed for after-sale services. In OSGi, applications are made up of bundles. The various functions of a product are implemented through interactions and cooperations between the bundles. As a result, efficiently and effectively managing these bundles becomes important for after-sale product evolution. This article presents a component-based approach, where the services and implementations are divided into different bundles and are managed by a leader bundle for reconfiguration and update.
