Abstract :
The special requirements for the modeling of PDM system - extendible organization, modularized structure and cooperation between the front stage and the back stage are introduced. The objects PDM system refers to -products, projects, documents, personnel and workflow, etc - and their attributes and functions are analyzed. Based on object-oriented technique, the attributes, data, processes and functions of these objects are packed in the corresponding classes. Composed of these classes, the model of PDM system is set up. With the techniques of encapsulation and inheritance of classes, the requirements of modularization and extendibility are met; with the user interface and the control of the workflow class, the cooperation between the front stage and the back stage is also met.
