Abstract
This paper examines the improvement of the speed-sensorless vector control performance of an induction motor with a speed estimator using the self-tuning regulator (STR) control scheme. The proposed scheme, which consists of a recursive least squares algorithm and a PI control algorithm, increases the stability and improves the control performance in both the steady-state and transient state for both varying and constant speed references
