Abstract
Next generation networks (NGNs) will provide entertainment and communication services at higher bit rate in comparison of today´s residential ADSL/ADSL2+ access technology. Last drop for customer will be based on VDSL2 working at frequency up to 30 MHz and this could induce a degradation on bit rate available to the customer due to existing end-user premises network. The aim of this paper is to evaluate if these effects are relevant for the foreseen bit rate.
