Abstract
The author examines ways in which engineering educators can improve the current public image of the engineering profession. His recommendations include: engineers making themselves understood; focusing on engineering wonders; collecting examples of “heroic” engineering; making engineering work into a game; using inclusive language; and spreading information in nontraditional ways
