Abstract
CAD (computer-aided design) programs developed for the design and analysis of compact range reflector systems are presented. These programs allow the geometrical design of the reflector configurations most frequently considered in this application. The serrations used in the main reflector to reduce the edge diffraction effects are designed using a geometric-optics ray tracing technique. The field produced in the quiet zone is accurately calculated, integrating the physical-optics induced currents on the main reflector. A general layout of the system geometry can be obtained and the design of the reflector serrations can be performed using compatible PC XT or AT computers
