Abstract :
In UHV double-circuit line, the value of secondary arc current and recovery voltage in cross-country transient faults are higher than single-phase to ground transient faults. Methods of extinguishing the secondary arc include shunt reactor neutral point with one small reactor in each circuit and some reactors between two circuits and High-Speed-Grounding-Switch (HSGS). This paper mainly studies a variety of factors which influence these three extinguishing arc methods. Many results are showed after formulation and simulation. The construction of UHV would refer to the proposal in this paper.
