Abstract :
An automatic recognition system for DNA is reported. The system consists of three microcomputers carrying out data sampling and recognition individually. The design of the system software is discussed. The method of recognition is described, and an example for a DNA electrophoretogram of poor quality is given. The method is satisfactory for images of average quality; for poor-quality images it can be used as an adjunct to other methods
