Abstract :
An improved power allocation strategy for spatially correlated multiple- input multiple-output (MIMO) systems with parial channel knowledge was proposed in this paper . We design an optimal linear precoder for a space-time coded system assuming knowledge of only the transmit antenna fading correlations. The error-rate performance of a ( 2times2 ) OSTBC system was simulated with proposed power allocation strategy and different correlation coefficients. Compared with existing power allocation schemes based on preceding, the proposed scheme significantly improves the error-rate performance.
