Abstract :
The paper describes a new equalization process for signals transmitted via intersymbol interference channels. Computer simulations show the performance of a receiver using this process in terms of BER before and after the convolutional decoder and compare them with those of a receiver based on Viterbi equalizer. Then, the equalizer hardware complexity is evaluated and the possibility of integration of this function in a base-band processing chain for mobile radio system is analyzed
