Abstract :
Digitalization was the strategy many Chinese newspapers adopted when meeting declines in circulation and advertisement revenues. In this paper, the author tried to illustrate a general map of and analyze the efforts by China´s newspapers in digitalization, which might give newspapers inside and outside China some inspirations. Achievements and lessons from China´s newspapers on websites, pay walls, multimedia reporting, social media and mobile applications were discussed respectively. The author stated that mobile Internet service could become one major market for newspapers in the coming years.
