Abstract
We demonstrate the successful bi-directional wavelength division multiplexing transmission of 41 downstream and 32 upstream 0.5 nm interleaved channels at 10 Gbit/s over 126 km of single mode fiber. Stable bit error rate (BER<10-12) curves were measured for uni- and bi-directional configurations over 86.5 km of fiber with no performance degradation due to four-wave mixing products
