Abstract :
Various types of structured information in Chinese encyclopedia HDWiki like as Wikipedia were divided into three categories: concept, relationship and entity. This paper described a novel symbols guided search that facilitated user to format unambiguous and complex logical queries in the logic of natural language. This facilitation and understanding base on the ternary relationships exist among the three kinds of data, classification trees of HDWiki, four semantic logical symbols and similarity measure for knowledge filtering and matching. With a simple prototype search system we implemented and a user study in free-form search with five participants, we found that, with the precisely abstracted HDWiki knowledge, our logical semantic oriented system performed better than the traditional search especially in dealing with the similar logical queries and could return what user wanted more quickly.
