Abstract :
In this paper, we study the optimization of noise performance for two types of planar microwaves active filters. This kind of filter uses MMIC active circuit loss compensation of planar microstrip resonators. We use the noise wave formalism to calculate the analytical expression of the noise factors. Simulated and measured results are presented to validate our study and can be extended to various other possible planar topologies
