Abstract :
A second order microstrip active filter is considered. A single negative resistance element is used to achieve compensation for the loss of two resonators of the filter. The negative resistance element is implemented using the optimization of FET feedback circuits for noise reduction. A comparison with the same bandwidth passive filter is presented
