Abstract :
This work proposes an efficient approach to get the Chinese calligraphy´s approximate skeleton. The contour information of the character is directly used. Thus the resulting skeleton can reflect the character´s style properly. The accuracy of the result can be well controlled by specifying the density of sampling points of the contour.
