  • Abstract
    There are many inherent advantages on multi-phase PMSM, its prospect is very optimistic. A novel six-phase disc permanent magnetic synchronous motor which adopts a one-rotor-two-stators configuration is presented. The principle and structure are depicted. FEM is used to analyze the no-load magnetic field characteristics of this motor, and this paper contrasts the effect of permanent magnet thickness on the fundamental amplitude of the air gap flux density and sinusoidal distribution.
