Abstract :
Due to convergence of information technology and power utility technology, smart grid projects become a big issue, recently. Micro grid, small power system with distributed energy resource, operated in diverse regions. Current of micro-grid of the electric power industry is currently one-way system to replaced by two-way system. To the conversion of electricity and communications, technology research and testing should be done with caution. And distributed Generation (Distributed energy resource: DER) in Micro grid system will become important in smart grid. Recently, IEC 61850 was legislated for interoperability problem in power utility automation. In the IEC 61850 communications standard for distributed generation that contain the contents of the IEC 61850-7-420 extend announced. This paper presents IEC 61850 based micro grid system. It consists of micro grid monitoring system, protocol converter, which converts data to IEC 61850 data, and distributed energy resource controller.
