  • Abstract
Explosion airflow extinguishing arc is a new kind of lightning protection methods. Establishing mathematical chain model is to study the effect of arc extinction. Under the strong disturbance of gas stream, temperature conductivity of arc and energy variation can be deduced in considering the many parameters of the arc. Using finite difference method is to analysis the movement of arc extinction under coupling electromagnetic airflow fields and to prove that under the action of high-speed airflow, arc´s temperature and energy decreases rapidly within a short time, so the arc is quickly extinguished. Experimental results show that the explosion airflow extinguishing arc is a new kind of lightning protection methods of fast, efficient, inhibiting rekindle.
