Abstract
Lightning parameters are the basic requirements for lightning protection design, and identifying lightning stroke current waveforms in detail is essential for rational lightning protection design. This paper analyzed four lightning current waveforms observed by the monitoring system which was built by Wuhan University. There are 43 observation equipment installed, distributed on 110kV, 220 kV, 500 kV transmission lines and other buildings. The time and space information of four lightning current waveform were consistent with the data of lightning location system. The lightning current waveform observed provided the reference for lightning protection.
