Abstract :
An improved fuzzy adaptive PID controller is proposed in the paper, in which the count of fuzzy quantity can be increased according to the practical situation. During operation period, the improved fuzzy adaptive PID controller can amend PID coefficients automatically to enhance dynamic characteristic of electronic speed governor according to gasoline engine speed change each stage in the transition process. A digital electronic speed governing system is developed based on the improved fuzzy PID adaptive controller, and simulations have been carried out, results indicate this method can effectively improve the speed adjusting characteristic.
