Abstract
The propagation of electromagnetic waves in an NRD (nonradiative dielectric) waveguide structure where the isotropic dielectric slab was substituted by a longitudinally magnetized ferrite slab was investigated. Dispersion diagrams and differential phase shifts for the HE/sub 11/ mode are presented, showing the nonreciprocal effects available in this arrangement. Nonreciprocal and electronically tuned devices can be implemented using this simple structure.<>
