Abstract :
As the number of communication security violations and the sophistication of intruders and bad actors increases, complex processes such as chaos and quantum theory become applicable to cryptographic systems and to network security. In this paper we demystify chaos and chaotic processes with simple examples; we provide examples of using chaos in cryptographic systems, and we identify synchronization issues in modern communication networks. We then describe a pragmatic method that resolves the transmitter-receiver synchronization issue and also enhances chaotic cryptography.
