Abstract :
This paper presents a video fingerprinting method for real-time TV commercial advertising identification. In the proposed method, prominent peak pairs based on differences of the mean luminance of adjacent blocks in the spatiotemporal domain are computed, hashed, and stored, to be efficiently compared to one another. Experimental results confirm that the proposed method achieves preliminary promising results in terms of accuracy.
