Abstract :
Analyzed the prevailing problem in the cable fault location about the difficulties to accurately identify the head of the reflected, introduced the mathematical morphology and wavelet analysis theory, the traveling wave method is combined the mathematical morphology and wavelet analysis to filtered the noise signal in wave, to find the exact arrival of wave. On this basis, design a power cable fault location system, and a 300m-long cross-linked polyethylene cable fault location for the experimental results show that the system can effectively measure the distance to fault, the measurement error small, and have a certain practicality.
