Abstract :
The aim of this paper is to present a new type of autotransformer to feed power converters. The technical as well as the economical feasibility of the transformer-converter set is also shown. Problems due to harmonics effects are taken into account. By means of an analysis it is shown that: the ADZ autotransformer is a new and effective option for power converters; using this new transformer type, interaction between power converters and electrical system is improved regarding harmonic-effects; and magnetomotive forces (MMF) are balanced for several cases. Waveform for input and output sides are also presented
