Abstract :
Software Engineering - that is, the creation and evolution of software systems - is in most cases inherently collaborative. As such, then, successful team formation is a critical foundation of collaborative software engineering. A variety of technology is needed to support teams and their interactions in collaborative efforts. Also critical are the appropriate collaborative processes. Last but not least, the structure of organizations can either help or hinder such collaborative efforts.
