Abstract :
The real-time and reliable transmission of the sampled values and trip signals via the Ethernet is an important function of the smart substation process bus communication based upon IEC61850, but there involves many new technologies and high requirements for the real-time capability and reliability. So process bus communication schemes of present stage are very wariness in practical engineering application and there are many differences in their realization schemes, which restricts farther implement of smart substation. This paper expounds concept and composition of smart substation process bus based upon IEC61850, gives a whole scheme of three nets-in-one about SV+GOOSE+IEC 61588 and concretely studys various key technologies which contain network traffic computation in different conditions and dynamic multicast protocol application to simplify network traffic, network delay evaluation and solving scheme of transmission in one network, PRP technology and application scheme based upon IEC62439 of improving transmission reliability in one network. This scheme has passed test in laboratory and gained application in practical projects and has some reference meaning for process bus communication design of smart substation.
