Abstract :
Materialized view maintenance is an important research area in the database and data warehouse area. Currently, most of the view maintenance methods are based on the C/S model, which will lead to overload and even crash at the end of data warehouse. A model of P2P-based collaborative view maintenance is proposed, which can not only exploit the potential merits of P2P and CSCW, but also overcome the above mentioned problems. Furthermore, a collaborative maintenance algorithm is proposed. Finally, the evaluation shows the proposed strategy achieves better performance both on the message number and the total execution time.
