Abstract :
The fiber-filled composites exhibit a great variety of dielectric dispersion behaviors in some papers. To tailor their dielectric dispersion, we must find out more details on fiber-filled composites. For this purpose, the electromagnetic properties of conducting fiber-foam composites are studied in this paper in terms of the effective-medium theory for conducting stick composites (EMTSC). Polymer foams have many attractive features including low density and flexibility. That is why foam is chosen to make the dielectric host of the material. To compare with the theoretical prediction, we have made several samples and measured the reflection coefficients of them. The reasons of the agreement and disagreement between the theoretical and experimental results are developed in this paper.
