Abstract :
Today´s Internet is facing many problems which did not take into account in its initial design, such as routing scalability, mobility and security. No matter evolutional or revolutionary solutions that are proposed in recent years, a recognized promising direction is to separate customer network from core network and separate identification from location. In this paper, we sketch out an architecture according to this two separations. We employ the tree topology in the core network which is hierarchical and use the Viliant Load-balancing (VLB) structure to compensate its reliability and scalability. Combining with addressing scheme which has one-to-one mapping relationship with it, we can replace routing with switching while sharing the infrastructure with different ISPs. In the customer network, the separation of identification and location making multiple topologies, addressing and routing schemes can be used based on services it provides. The benefits and corresponding details are also discussed in this paper.
