  • Abstract
    In this paper, a simple kind of E-shaped patch antenna is proposed for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) applications in cognitive radio at about 15 GHz. The strong coupling between adjacent antennas due to their close proximity is reduced to achieve the full potential of using MIMO antenna array thanks to Left Hand Metamaterial (LHM) based on Split Ring Resonator (SRR) to get a negative permeability at the resonate frequency. The space occupied by each antenna is also enhanced. Details of the antenna design and results are presented and discussed.
