Abstract :
In the paper, the influence of Cu and Pb concentrations on catalase activity in soil are investigated under the relationship between the contents of heavy metal forms and catalase activity. Experimental results show that Cu mainly appears as an inhibition on catalase activity, and the acid-soluble Cu may affects it most. Pb has an activation on catalase activity at a certain concentration range of 100 ~ 300mg/kg, while presenting an inhibition role at high concentration range with a significant positive correlation between Fe/Mn oxide-bound Pb and catalase activity in soil. Comparing the correlation of the two heavy metals´ form and the catalase activity, Cu affects more than Pb does, indicating that catalase activity can be used as the index of Cu pollution and the Fe/Mn oxide-bound Pb and acid-soluble Cu can be used as the impact factors in estimating catalase activity.
