  • Abstract
The approximate nature of the FDTD method causes the propagation of electromagnetic waves in the computational domain to deviate from the ideal situation. The waves do not propagate with the theoretical phase velocities in the FDTD grid due to the numerical dispersion errors. We employ some signal-processing techniques to eliminate the errors due to the unnecessary high-frequency components.
