  • Abstract
    IP/MPLS is the technology of choice for utilities wanting to implement converged Smart Grid networks. By introducing the demand from utility, especially for smart grid, the article introduced utility´s evolution to converged network, addressed teleprotection as key application and its design consideration, demonstrated the reliability in utility company in Northern America.
