Abstract :
A means is presented for reducing the recording time for visual evoked potentials (VEPs) by estimating the diagnostically relevant features from a smaller number of sweeps. To accomplish this, a method for the calculation of individually adapted models for the VEP, which are utilized in adaptive filtering, is proposed. The use of these models in a Kalman-filter results in significant reduction of recording time while keeping the diagnostical reliability constant
