Abstract :
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) have established a specialist group to study the overall spectrum availability for digital television in Europe. This paper presents an outline of planning studies within the group, and examines some results in the context of integrated digital planning, i.e. using existing television channels. Some results of BBC studies into UK national single frequency networks (SFNs), assuming the use of clear channels are discussed
