Abstract :
This paper defines the basic critical parameters that are needed to ensure interoperability between line powering products. With well-defined and matched parameters between up and down converters, the line powering system has a better chance of managing fault conditions without interruption to the load. This paper examines two case studies in which certain parameters are mismatched in order to demonstrate the importance of these critical parameters. Both simulations and experimental data are used to show the effects of the mismatched parameters as well as how to properly resolve the issues created from the incompatible parameters.
