Abstract :
This paper presents an algorithm for optimizing reactive power using Immune Ant Colony Algorithm. The hybrid algorithm uses IA to give pheromone to distribute and makes use of improved ACA to give the optimal solution. This algorithm has been applied to IEEE 30 system and shows better results and convergence rate as compared to IA and ACA and other methods.
