  • Abstract
    When fault occurs in outbound channel, isolated hydropower group will face the problem of high frequency pressure and other special issues in security and stability. Self-excitation of the hydroelectric generator is the main reason for the resonance over-voltage of the isolated hydropower group. This paper research the conditions for the self-excitation and the dynamic characteristics in the isolated hydropower group with MATLAB software, and an example of a typical isolated hydropower group in Sichuan province is used to illustrate the theory of self-excitation in the situation of isolated hydropower group.
