Abstract :
Fast-switching PLL is analyzed and designed. Using VCO pre-tuning method, the PLLpsilas pull-in time is greatly reduced. Problems that should be considered in the design of each part of PLL are introduced, the designed prototype is showed and the test results are given. Frequency hopping time of designed PLL is less than 10 us in the frequency range of 1 GHz to 1.35 GHz, with the phase-detecting frequency of 5 MHz. It has low spurious, low phase noise, small volume, and is easy to realize.
