  • Abstract
The combination of grid technology and M&S (Modeling and Simulation) is an important direction for distributed simulation nowadays, and SimuGrid (Simulation Grid) we are developing is a research project aiming at this direction. In this paper, we describe the development of simulation application in SimuGrid by proposing three modes of simulation system development including batch-job mode, federate implemented mode and simulation description mode. The utilization of simulation resources shared in SimuGrid environment increases gradually from batch- job mode to mode with implemented federate and to simulation description mode. Especially for the rich use of all kinds of simulation resources and the high automatic level in simulation description mode, we make emphatic discussion on this mode in developing process, implementation elements, data visualization and collaborative work. The implementation of simulation application based on SimuGrid decreases the threshold for user, makes easy for simulation development and enhances reuse of simulation models.
