Abstract :
East China Power Market is one of the pilot regional power markets in China. To support the market operation, a complete suite of IT systems has been implemented in East China market consisting of an integrated Energy Management & Trading System, Commercial Operation System, Information Platform, etc. This paper provides an overview of the development and operational process of the IT infrastructure pertaining to the East China market. After a brief overview of East China power market structure and operational process, the basic IT infrastructure is introduced. Market operation system (MOS) supporting the day-ahead energy market operation is the focus of this paper. The functionalities and operations of the market infrastructure (MI) and market applications (MA) are described. In the end, the future enhancement and challenge for East China power market IT system are discussed.
