Abstract
As the switched reluctance motor (SRM) possesses highly nonlinear property due to its special structure and the switched reluctance motor drive (SRD) appears as a multi-variable coupling system with serious nonlinearity. The perfect control can not be obtained by the ordinary control methods. A nonlinear dynamic model for SRM is proposed based on its inductance magnetic characteristic which includes the motor, the converter and the associated control system. To resolve the problem of torque ripple in a SRM, a fuzzy logic controller based on turn-off angle compensator for torque ripple reduction is designed. And the reasonability and validity of the model are testified by simulation.
