  • Abstract
The EDF research and development program on FACTS consists of system studies and technological developments. The most outstanding point of this program is the installation of a moderate power unified power flow controller for the 225 keV network, scheduled in 1996. Already achieved technical results mainly consist in a high number of various kinds of numerical models, which are briefly described in the paper. A study on the impact of shunt devices on transient stability is also shown
