Abstract :
Taking account of the fact that images of natural scenery have fractal character, we present a wavelet fractal interpolation algorithm that is applied in remote sensing image processing. The wavelet fractal interpolation algorithm uses the fractal interpolation algorithm to anticipate the high frequency component on high resolution from the high frequency component on low resolution. It has been found that this new wavelet fractal interpolation has better performance than the existing bilinear interpolation algorithm.
