Abstract
To research into the effects of wind generators on the protection of distribution system, the short-circuit current (SCC) behavior of wind generators turns out to be important. Although there are reports so far, it seems that they don´t show a clear agreement. In this paper, investigation on the SCC behavior for different wind generators is reported. PSCAD simulation has been performed on the same system integrated with different kinds of wind generators and their results are compared with those reported in IEEE papers. Discussion on fault detection possibility by overcurrent relay (OCR) is made based on the obtained simulation results.
