  • Abstract
Electrical steel sheet is most extensively used in the manufacture of electrical devices to form magnetic path. In order to fulfil optimization design, the accurate magnetic characteristic modeling for the electrical steel sheet is desired in the numerical analysis of electromagnetic fields in electrical machines and transformers. This paper discusses several key points in the material modeling of the steel sheet, such as the basic idea of various magnetic hysteresis models, their advantages and disadvantages, the state of the researches on the electromagnetic field analysis associated with these magnetic property models, and the development of the methods for measuring magnetic properties.
