Abstract :
Two packet loss combating schemes for voice over packet switched networks are studied. The methods are based on time-scaling performed directly on the parameters of a harmonic sinusoidal speech model and are implemented at the receiving end only. Subjective listening tests show promising results indicating the potential of sinusoidal coding schemes for voice-over-IP (VoIP).
